NUMBER OF TESTS:

  • First test: physical aptitude.
  • Second test: medical examination.
  • Third test: psychotechnical.
  • Fourth test: knowledge (Multiple choice or theoretical development and practical case)

PHYSICAL TESTS:

In Andalucía, the regulation governing the physical tests that candidates must pass for the Local Police Oppositions is established by the ORDER of December 22, 2003, which sets out the selective tests, syllabi, and merit scale for entry, internal promotion, and mobility to the different categories of the Local Police Forces.

Unlike other Autonomous Communities, in Andalucía the physical tests do NOT count towards the final score. Their rating is "pass / fail," so all candidates must pass them, but having better physical condition than other candidates will not give you an advantage in the competition.

The goals to be achieved depend on the Category you are applying for (Police, Officer, Sub-inspector, Inspector, Superintendent, Chief Superintendent, or Senior Superintendent), age, and gender.

Among the tests listed below, the first five are mandatory, and the last one, "swimming," will be optional, allowing Municipalities to decide whether to include it when approving the call's bases, but once established, it is mandatory to pass it.

The physical aptitude test will be graded as "pass" or "fail." To obtain a "pass," it is necessary not to exceed the maximum marks established for tests 1, 5, and 6, and to meet or exceed the minimums for tests 2, 3, and 4.

The exercises will be performed in the order listed, and each one is eliminatory for proceeding to the next.

Different marks are established for each gender and age groups: from 18 to 24 years, from 25 to 29 years, and from 30 to — years. The candidate will be included in the corresponding age group, considering the age of the candidates on the day of the tests, unless they exceed 34 years, in which case they will be included in the 30 to 34 years group.

The tests will be conducted individually, except for general endurance and swimming, which may be done collectively if the Tribunal so decides.

In the general endurance and swimming tests, there is only one chance to perform; in the rest, a second attempt is allowed if the first does not result in a "pass."

MANDATORY:

Speed test: 50-meter flat race

It will be performed on an athletics track or any completely flat area with compact terrain. The candidate will position themselves on the track in the designated spot, starting either standing or crouched, without using starting blocks.

The maximum marks required to pass the test are:

  • MEN aged 18 to 24: 8 seconds.
  • MEN aged 25 to 29: 8 seconds and 50 hundredths.
  • MEN aged 30 to 34: 9 seconds.
  • WOMEN aged 18 to 24: 9 seconds.

Upper body strength test:

Men will perform pure suspension push-ups, and women will throw a 3-kilogram medicine ball.

Pure suspension push-ups. (MEN)

Performed in a gym or sports field.

It starts from the pure suspension position, gripping the bar with bare palms facing forward, and arms fully extended. The full flexion will be done so that the chin comes over the bar. Before starting a new flexion, it is necessary to fully extend the arms. Body swinging or leg movement assistance is not allowed.

Only complete and correctly performed push-ups will be counted. The minimum number of push-ups required for each age group is:

  • MEN aged 18 to 24: 8 push-ups
  • MEN aged 25 to 29: 6 push-ups
  • MEN aged 30 to 34 years: 4 push-ups

    Medicine Ball Throw (WOMEN)

This test will be conducted on a sports field or any other location that allows for precise measurement of the ball's landing. A line will be marked on the ground parallel to the throwing area. The candidate will stand facing this line without stepping on it, with feet apart, parallel to each other, and at the same level.

The ball will be held with both hands, above and behind the head, and thrown from this position so that it lands within the designated throwing sector. The feet must not be lifted entirely off the ground, and no part of the body should touch the ground in front of the throwing line.

The minimum required marks (in meters) to pass the test are:

    • WOMEN aged 18 to 24 years: 5.50 meters

    • WOMEN aged 25 to 29 years: 5.25 meters

    • WOMEN aged 30 to 34 years: 5.00 meters

    Flexibility Test: Deep Flexibility Test

This test will be conducted in a gymnasium or sports field.

The candidate will stand barefoot on the appropriate equipment, with feet placed in the designated spots. There will be a 75-centimeter gap between the outer edges of the feet. At the center of a line connecting the back edges of the heels, a 50-centimeter ruler will be placed with a cursor or marker that moves perpendicularly along the ruler.

The candidate will bend forward, bringing their arms backward and between their legs, to touch and push the marker without using momentum. The marker must be pushed with both hands simultaneously without resting on it, and the maximum position reached must be maintained until the result is recorded.

Candidates may move their arms, bend their torso and knees, but must not lift any part of their feet off the ground before releasing the marker. Balance must be maintained, and the equipment must be exited from the front by walking.

The minimum required marks (in centimeters) to pass the test are:

    • MEN and WOMEN aged 18 to 24 years: 26 centimeters

    • MEN and WOMEN aged 25 to 29 years: 23 centimeters

    • MEN and WOMEN aged 30 to 34 years: 20 centimeters

Lower Body Strength Test: Vertical Jump

This test will be conducted in a gymnasium or sports field with a horizontal floor and a smooth vertical wall suitable for measuring marks.

The candidate will stand sideways next to the wall, extending their closest arm fully upwards to mark their standing reach height. Positioned 20 centimeters away from the wall, they will then jump as high as possible and mark the highest point reached with their fingers.

The distance between the standing reach mark and the jump mark will be recorded.

The minimum required marks (in centimeters) to pass the test are:

    • MEN aged 18 to 24 years: 48 cm

    • MEN aged 25 to 29 years: 44 cm
